An art/archaeology collaboration between Rose Ferraby and Rob St. John using sound and visual art.
In 2019 the pair created work exploring and animating the sub-surface landscape of Aldborough Roman Town in North Yorkshire, UK.

A limited edition artist’s book was published in August 2019 to coincide with the Soundmarks exhibition, sound installation and public events.Written and designed by Rose Ferraby and Rob St John, the book reflects upon the fertile blurrings of art and archaeology at Aldborough Roman Town, using images, writing, maps, and graphic scores from the production of the project through 2019.The book contains an exclusive download of Rob St. John’s sound-work for the project. This is his first LP-length ambient work since 2014’s critically acclaimed Surface Tension. The package includes a set of eight postcards of the exhibited artworks by Rose Ferraby.
