contribute to soundmarks!

In August, we’ll be running a series of free workshops using sound recording, drawing and cameraless photography to document Aldborough Roman Town. The results will contribute towards a collaborative ‘place portrait’ hosted here on our website.

We are also very interested in gathering material contributed by people outside of the workshops. So if you visit (or live in) Aldborough, please do take a picture or sound recording, make a sketch, write a poem or story, narrate a folktale or some local history… anything that represents the place to you.

Sounds, images, texts all welcome: we’re looking forward to seeing and hearing what you come up with.

You can upload to our project Dropbox folder using the button above. You don’t need a Dropbox account to do this. If you want to give more information about your contribution, you can contact us.

So, please do get involved in helping us creatively document this unique landscape and its history!

You can also submit material to the project by emailing us via rob@robstjohn.co.uk

All the copyrights of uploaded material will stay with the creator(s), and you will of course be fully credited for your contribution.

We will solely use the material to create a collective artwork celebrating the village landscape, which will be shared freely on our website.
